Grifter turned self-taught artist. Nick Gripp's work focuses on loose abstraction through oil paintings to represent landscapes in an effort to confront childhood memories and existential dread. Heavily influenced by Joan Mitchell, Dory Previn, Bill Traylor, and Ernest Becker.
