Nancy Daly: Artist.

Nancy Daly graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts in Photographic and Electronic Media from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Prior to attending MICA, Nancy earned her Bachelors in Fine Arts in graphic design from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She has worked as a graphic designer for a range of clients from a restaurant group to government consulting agencies and non-profits. Nancy’s current body of installation work examines how the development of the online social world is affecting identity and social behavior. By creating interactive machines reminiscent of outdated technology, she addresses the contradictions present in various social media that are at once ephemeral and entirely permanent. Nancy has participated in several solo and group exhibitions, most recently as a Hamiltonian Fellow at the Hamiltonian Gallery in Washington, DC. Website: nancy-daly.com.
