Meghan Walsh: Mosaic Artist.
Meghan Walsh is an artist and architect who specializes in incorporating artwork into architecture. Her current studio work focuses on mosaics in a variety of media including recycled materials, stone, glass, coal, tires, smalti and broken tile. Her work ranges from large installation pieces, like the "Woven Identities" public art mural/mosaic at the Columbia Heights Metro station, to interior tile work and small individual fine art, hanging works. She has designed and renovated homes in Washington, DC for clients for over 15 years. Her specialization in mosaic work evolves from much time spent in Brazil working with recycled and natural building materials.
