Spring 2025 Open Studios is Back!

What happens in an artist's studio before a piece is 'finished'? This Sunday, May 18, 2025, you’re invited to find out! For one day only, we're opening our doors at Off  the Beaten Track Warehouse to share the creative process with you. Come explore our historic building, meet our resident artists, and experience art in the making.

During your visit, you'll:

  • Step into real working studios and watch artists in action

  • Get the inside scoop on their techniques and inspiration

  • Discover original pieces direct from the artists

  • Experience the electric energy of a working artist community

  • Maybe even find the perfect piece to transform your space

Our open studios have become a favorite event for art lovers across the DMV who appreciate experiencing art in its birthplace. This is your chance to discover your next favorite artist before everyone else does!

Speaking of, here are the resident artists and makers you’ll meet:

  • Rosalie Ferris – pattern making, sample making, sewing lessons

  • Susan Hostetler – drawing, painting, sculpture

  • Julia Bloom – drawing, painting, sculpture

  • Nancy Hacskaylo – encaustic

  • David Evans – encaustic

  • Plants and Blooms ReImagined – repurposed plants and flowers

  • Deborah Grayson – printmaking, drawing, painting

  • Alexis Gray – painting, drawing

  • Roxana Geffen – installation

  • Nicole Ponce – ceramics

  • Jeneen Piccuirro – mixed media visual art

  • Emily Owen – painting, drawing

  • Colin Winterbottom – photography

  • 50Hertz Tingly Foods – artisanal foods

  • Othello Banaci – photography, film

With fifteen unique perspectives under one roof, there's something here to inspire everyone.

Mark your calendar, grab your friends, and make it a different kind of Sunday. Wander through working studios, chat with artists, maybe find that piece you've been looking for.
